Default Gas gas sm250 steering lock

Recently I have been riding the sm250 with friends when I pull up I don't like to leave it because I have no key for the steering lock. Does anyone know how I can go about getting these? I have all the frame/ engine numbers intact ect ??

I have the same issue with my EC300. I emailed GGUK, but they cannot supply keys from chassis numbers, only sell you a new lock. for ?55 +vat. I just use a disc lock.

Really ? How difficult would a lock be to fit. It's abit disappointing they can't sell a key with a chassis number and proof of ownership tho !

I was told the factory don't keep a list of key numbers. I believe that the lock is rivited in from the inside of the head stock, but I haven't bothered looking.

I cant confirm but I can tell you that I took a Polaris ignition to a lock smith (because they dont keep records ether) and they squirted some stuff in it and let it dry pulled it out and made a key for me. I had to leave it over night to dry cost me $30 US mite be something to look onto.

Dont have a clue. I would guess you would have to have a license to buy it or everyone would be stealing stuff.
