Default 05 07 confused?

Has anyone had a 05 and a 07? I rode a 07 a while back and thought there was a big difference with the ride, felt great. Then I rode the same bike last weekend trying to help a mate get up a really narly hill, then thought that I much preferred my 05 that already at the top of the hill.

Now I'm just plain confused if I want to upgrade?

I plan on upgrading to an 05-06 from my 02. Who has a clean one on the west coast plated with lots of goodies, I'll be looking soon.

The only reason I don't ride my 2000 GasGas is that I started breaking too many odd things to consider it reliable for enduros. It is still is an excellent bike that is now a spare. Now when I go hundreds of miles, I bring a spare to ride or rob parts from. I highly recommend it!

I would most likely look at the following in your comparison.

Do both bikes have the same shock (Ohlins or Sachs,) same suspension set up (check sag), ignition (EC or MC), gearing, tires (and tire pressure) and operable dual mapping ginition.

By operable I mean is the dual map ignition installed in the 05 and if it is is the switch working giving you the choice of both maps. Same goes for the 07 make sure the switch is actually working and not shorting out.
