Default newbie needs some help!!!

hi all, i recently bought a 03 ec300 which im having some real bother with the handling. after years on 500cc 2 strokes i thought id get a modern 2 stroke thinking that it would have most of the power (which it has) and would run rings round the old 500 (which it doesnt)
i do push the front hard but the front would just wash out on me. after about 5 near misses the gasgas finally bit me and it hurt!!!
i love the gasgas but i cant keep a bike i dont trust. can anyone either help me with a baseline setting or even the factory setting so i can work from there. i weigh 75kgs and the bike has wp forks and ohlins rear shock.
thanks in advance for your help

The best advice that I can give you is to send your suspension over to Les at LT Racing. Your bike will handle like a caddy after he is done with it. Plus Les makes some great aftermarket stuff for the gassers.

Yes, a revalve is optimum but a GG is a fast steering bike and should not push unless you have some basic setup issues. Its also possible that your WPs need service, as the checkplate/midvalve shims get hammered and cause a loss of rebound damping, which would cause the fork to "stand up" and do what you are describing. Post all your numbers (spring rates, sag, etc.) and what you have done for service.

not sure what the previous owner has done. the bike although being 5 years old has done less than 10 hrs from new so i dont think the suspension has been touched. i'll give them a service this weekend.
the previous owner was weighing in at 20 stone or more so maybe he just cranked everything up to the max.
