2007 EC250 ignition swap???
Hi Guys,
I need some help with my 2007 EC250 ignition. My bike came with the big flywheel/ignition, and I want to install the smaller MX type flywheel/ignition from my 2001 XC250. Sounds simple enough, right? Well, everything was going along just fine until it came time to plug into the 2007 CDI box... Has anyone else tried this swap yet? and what did you have to do in order for things to work properly? I'd really like to retain the dual map CDI if possible... Thanks in advance... 'TOOL

It looks like the easy solution would be to swap the 2001 harness also.
Then you would loose the dual mode ignition. The 2007 owner's manual has the wiring schematic, you may be able to trace the circuits and splice into the '07 CDI module.
