Default Running rich

I have a 2005 ec250. Main jet 178, pilot 38, needle type N1EF clip positioned in centre. The bike runs runs well but rich and can fowl plugs. The bike is used only for trail riding so mostly on less than half throttle. Any advise would be welcome.
