Wanted: Soft seat for 2000 250MC
If anyone has a seat with soft foam or just the soft foam that will fit a 2000 250MC, I'm interested. I'm used to EE soft foam on my KTMs and I've got to get something a little softer for this bike. I would prefer regular height, but I'll consider a tall one.
Thanks |

I have a guts tall soft foam (foam only) off my 04' that I would part with. I replaced it with a EE tall soft foam, it took a bit of modifying to get it to fit but boy is it comfy. Make me an offer on the Guts if your interested, it was used ~10hrs.

Thanks for the offer and if nothing else shows up I'll be interested. I really need the regular height seat, especially since I don't have a seat cover for the taller foam. From your comments, I'm guessing the EE foam is a lot softer...right?
Thanks, JCW |

Yes, the EE foam is much softer and the edges are more rounded than the Guts foam. I have not had a chance to try it on a long ride, however the difference is noticable right away.

Thanks for the info. I have been totally spoiled by the EE soft seats on my KTMs. I think you're right about the narrow and hard edges on the GasGas seat. I wish EE (or somebody) made a soft seat for a GasGas.

EE makes a really comfy seat. You could always send your base to EE and ask for a fella named "James Horn" . He is the guy that built my seats and they turned out great. Not sure how much $$. They will also put an EE seat cover on as well.
The main reason that I liked the EE tall seat foam(which is actually for a KTM) is because the EE was not only softer than the GUTS tall seat foam, but it also had some padding and height toward the rear of the seat, where as the GUTS had all of the height in the middle of the seat. If you are interested, I still have a gas gas seat with a tall EE seat foam that I would be willing to sell. The only problem is that the brackets are in the wrong position for a stock subframe. I had used an aftermarket subframe and had to move the seat brackets. If you are interested, email me @ L.Michael.Keen@spcorp.com Thanks |

James is who I spoke with about modifing the foam to fit the GG base. I believe that I got his name from you at some point, he is a great guy and very helpful. What do you want for your ee seat, and can the brackets be returned to the stock location?
Thanks Jason |
