Default Fuel cap fix

I found as per a previous thread, that my fuel cap ceased sealing after a while... I purchased a new one, and 4 months later, same thing. I then re-fitted my old cap and it sealed fine...

Basically, the cap is absorbing the fuel vapour and expanding to the point where it no longer fits in the recess it is designed for, so your fixes are to either have 2 caps and swap them once one gets swollen, or machine off approx 3-4mm from the OD of the cap .

don't know if this would help the swelling, but i used a kx65/klx110 gas cap gasket and it stopped all of the leaks on my bike

I purchased a 1mm sheet of viton rubber off eBay and a circle cutter and made a new gasket. Working fine and holds the oem check valve/gasket in place
