Re-anodized fork service
Just tore down my forks for the first service since I had the uppers and damper rods T3 hard coated. To my pleasant surprise the oil was very clean, no sludge. This is after about 35 hrs which is a bit overdue I know. Just like a new fork. We will see how this holds up, I'll keep you posted on future services.

Forks had over 100 hrs. Coating does not add any significant dia as its very thin, and before coating parts are etched or 'de-anodized" to bare aluminum. You could go a lot bigger on the damper rod OD without a problem as there is a lot of clearance between it and the bushing. The fork is more critical, but a strip and re-coat is no problem. The biggest concern before you spend your $$ is if the uppers are worn into the base metal. You can see the original anodizing worn off, but you need a good bore mic on an extension to measure it. If its more than a few thou deep forget it. I got lucky, mine was not too bad. The info is in the original post I did on this subject, do a search. Sorry I don't remember off hand. I think it was about $120 though.
