Default Ohlins ttx Shock removal?

Hi guys anyone know if you can get the ttx shock out the side like the 888 or the sachs? I always take the rear end apart to get it out and want to try and pull it out the side like the others. Anyone with experience doing this?

I don't think I would have even had much fun pulling my 888 out the side. The extra time to flip up the subframe would probably out weigh the extra time dicking around. Just my opinion.

My buddy can pull his 888 out the right side in 10 minutes, that's pretty easy so if I can do it with the ttx I'd rather do that. I guess I'll just give it a go and see if no one has tried it yet

That was ultimate setup for me...
Now trying something else for a while...

I've got mine out at the moment. Had tank, seat and expansion chamber all off already for top end activities. Loosened the carb boot clamp, top sub frame bolts, removed the 2 bottom and flipped the whole lot up. From there the same things you did to get the shock out.

Was greasing my linkage and found the main pivot is not looking healthy at all. One side rusted and frozen, the other about do to the same. The rest are in fantastic condition.

Score: the local bearing shop has the 2 roller bearings in stock! Quick and easy japanese quality products! The not so good news is that they don't have replacement sleves in that size so I'll have to do my best to get this old one cleaned up.
