which tank

Hi, I'm in the middle of updating my backend to newer plastics I've got everything apart from the correct tank.... I've got a 2000 ec tank at the moment the 09 rad shrouds fit perfect but the seat seems a little short to reach the seat mount on the tank..... What year did the tanks change so it fit tidy.... Will a 01 tank fit? The fitting point on the front is also different so I've been told....

I've got an '04 with a Clarke long range tank and a '98 subframe and have got the opposite problem, the seat is an inch too far back and so the rear mounts don't line up. I'll try and get some measurements up for a comparison.

did you buy the tank new? is it ment for an 04 or isit for another year?....

I believe it fits a range of years but the guy I bought it off had it on an 04.

Don't the 07 on rear plastics require a different subframe, seat unit and tank to fit correctly?
