It was the Smuggler, and ironically enough I was riding as a first aid rider. I will contact Arai as the helmet shows absolutely no visible damage inside or out and I don't relish the though of replacing a less than two year old over $500 unit... Thanks all for the concern. Other than a stiff neck and badly bruised foot [and ego] I'm feeling fine.

I chose the poker run as I thought it would be safer. No telling what the nut behind the handlebars was thinking...

Planning on doing 2 days next year. Great event!
It had been about 3 years since I've ridden Capitol and I forgot how fun it is up there. |

Glad to hear you are all right Steve! I've had more than my fair share of concussions way back in my football days when helmet to helmet contact was considered a good hit . LOL Seriously if you are having headaches or feel pressure or dizziness you should listen to the doctor and get checked out.
if your just feeling stiff though we should go riding this weekend and maybe I can keep up with you. You will probably still leave me chasing your dust trail but it's always fun trying to keep up! |

Three possibles for this weekend; riding Tahuya out of Dutch's place, the hare scramble at the Yak Ranch, or the mountains...

I was looking forward to another trip to the Naches area...but with E. Washington on fire, I'll prolly ride Tahuya just to stay in shape.

Tahuya on Sunday would be my first choice if the mountains are not an option with the fires. I watched some video on YouTube of last years Yak Ranch HS and it looked fun with a lot of tight woods sections and some wide open grass track but really dusty. I would need to get some new googles that fit over my glasses since I just ran out of contacts.

If you hit Tahuya on Sunday(Elfendahl Pass?) Keep on eye out for a big brown '78 Dodge Ramcharger...Somewhere there will be an equally ugly KX250(55 on front plate).
