2011 EC300 question
Hi all
I am really confused with the options for the 2011 EC300 - seems that it can be E-start / Non E-start, Racing or regular, or six days??? And on top of that, the suspension can differ among the sub models depending on the location? I am looking at a 2011 EC300 (NON E START) - not sure if it is racing but I don't think it is - not sure how to tell - also unsure how to tell what fork it has. The shock is a dead giveaway (Ohlins). Thanks! |

It varies from country to country.
If it is a 2011 Racing it'll have the Ohlins shock but will have the new linkage and the lower shock clevis will be a single eyelet. It should have the 48mm Marzocchi PFP forks. Have a search and look at the cap layout; very easy to identify. Otherwise it's probably just a 2011 kick start with Ohlins 888 shock and 48mm Sachs forks (although could be 45mm OC Zokes too). Some photos of forks will help identify. |

I am trying to find a good picture but it?s hard. How can you tell the zokes from the Sachs? It isn?t the CC zokes I know that

generally the sachs were red and the zokes black uppers. can also measure the fork stanchions to see if they are 45mm or 48mm

I'm in Australia so I can't be 100% sure what they came with in the states. Ours here came with everything required for ADR (road legal; lights, blinkers, horn, chain guards, speedo).
The OEM unit is a Gas Gas branded Trail Tech for those years.. I think it was the Vector but could be wrong. Even if it doesn't have one the wiring harness should be plug and play. |

That is the standard non race version. I believe they all had the trip computer thing and choke cable. Looks like a nice bike. Good luck!
