Default DID VT2 Chain

2012 Gas Gas EC300 R

Um do we need a narrow chain?
(Hence the VT2?)

I'm thinking of a DID 520VX2-120 X-Ring I assume it will work. Never knew some bikes need a narrow version. Learn something new everyday.

No, plenty of room, any chain will work. However, if you run a TM or BRP chain guide, it may help to avoid/ reduce master link wear, as they are a close fit.

Thanks, I ordered the DID VX2 as it was only $66 on Amazon through Amazon with free 2 day Prime shipping. I figured I get it same time as the 50 tooth rear sprocket. Plus I wanted to place the rear tire more rearward for whoops. Plus the stock chain seems to stretch a lot, never had that happen on any other bike I have owned.
