Default Shock spring rate.??

Hey Guys,
Checked my shock soring yesterday and noticed K=5.2 on the spring.
I was just wondering what weight of rider this spring should suit as it is the standard in the 07 Ec 300.
Cheers Mark

190 to 200 lbs is about tops for the 5.2 kg spring.

Thanks mate, I knew you would answer.
I weigh 80 kg naked so I would assume probably another 10 kg in riding gear etc.
Therefore 90x2.25=202.50lbs.
Just sneak in , which is about how it feels too.
Thanks again mate.
I am going to have a go at setting up a shock/fork database similar to the jetting database so we'll see how it goes.
Cheers Mark

Before I got hurt a year ago I weighed 185lbs in decent shape and ran the stock 5.2/.42 combo. It was great in the technical stuff I normally ride at "B" level, but in the faster races and sand I ran out of suspension a little fast. The stock Sachs valving has plenty of rebound so you will be fine. If you up the fork to .44s the inadequate rebound will be more apparent.

Thanks Glenn,
I did change the fork oil weight to 7.5 which of course did change everthing else as you said.
This coming week of have 4 days of forest riding and firetrails so I should have it sorted for when I get back and the racing season.
Cheers Mark
