Steering lock/Brake pedal height adjustment
Silly question and tried to find it in previous threads but no luck. Seems like everyone says the 12's do not turn as far as they should. Plenty of room left when at full lock for forks to clear radiators. The fix???? Just a regular short bolt with normal head which would be less then the allen headed bolt?? Any better fix or is this the ticket???? Also the brake pedal is way to high up!!! Making me want to drag brakes. Not good. On a Husqvarna you can adjust pedal height. This does not seem to be the case on this bike. I guess I am dropping my bike off and having a shop fab a bolt on pedal piece that is the samr height as the pedal itself, giving me app a 1/2 inch more. Ant thoughts????? Thanks much. Oh yea my kickstand fix worked great!!! Ant loctite on the gas tank bolt good to go!!! How long before this fork loosens up some?????? I LIKE IT!!

Haven't seen the 2012+ to know how the pedal sits, but on my 2010 model I did this.

Kickstand fix works great! And no more issues! Able to use stock bolt on brake pedal piece and it is now bolted on from bottom giving me a 1/2 inch more! With the new style frame there is no room to cut the adjuster bolt as the pedal already almost bottoms out on the frame stock. Will get some pics! Also removed washer from stock steering lock allen head bolt to get more turning radius! Gota go for a ride right now!!! I got a bit of cash tied up. Work these snaggles out and will have a hec of a bike!!!!

My fork will hit the frame well before the rads. I used different bolts and shims to get it as close as possible.

My bad. I meant to say frame. I removed the flat washer and it now just misses hitting the frame on either side by a fraction. Turning is MUCH improved in the tight stuff just from that washer! Kickstand fix is perfect and no need to touch or think about it or hold it from going up fast! Brake pedal below working much better!!! Leaned out 1 clip. Engine POSITIVELY rocks. I am only 5 7 and had a 11 250 6 days for back to back. To me no comparison. The old platform feels dated and fat (yes for you diehards, of course it is proven and good!) but sitting to standing or anything feels better on the new platform. Dare I say handles easily as good as my Husky 150's!!!WOW!! Platform instills confidence and rewords you when pushed. Still dealing with little quirks that have me a little upset. But think it will all be good!

On a 11 or prior you can cut the bolt to change brake pedal height. But on a 12 the pedal will hit the frame anyways long before it is low enough at least for me. Unbolted stock piece on the pedal spent 2 minutes with a grinder and bolted back on from the bottom. Looks factory and works great and gained a half inch or so.
