07 EC250 Cylinder head engine mount
Hey everyone, long time reader, first time poster.
Has anybody else had issues with the engine mount on the cylinder head? I had two sets of aluminum mounts break, then I made some stainless steel ones and the mount on the head cracked down the middle. When I get a new head I'll have a good look for misalignment, etc., but I find it hard to believe that the mounts would bolt up with a significant misalignment, it's a pretty tight fit in there. |

Welcome to the Gas Gas rider forums.
I would check that the motor mounts and swing arm mounts are tight. The motor is "moving" around causing the stays to break. |

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. Now if only I could track down a head I'd be set.

You have to think of the stays as being a "fuse". They will crack to let you know you have a problem. The stainless stays are just too stiff.
Here's a head and cylinder for sale. http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4634 |

Is the MC head the same as the EC head?
