Default 2011 gasgas ec300 six days

New to the forum, also new to gasgas. took er for a rip/marathon ride. everything held up great. EXCEPT the pile of the junk rear tire. so if anyone is wondering. yes the stock six days metzeler tire is grabage. already worn and chunked after one ride. zero traction in anything partially wet. but im excited to put some miles on this summer and wanna say whats up to all the fellow riders. cheers
Ryan

Welcome to a great GG resource, Ryan.

I also have the 11 300 six days. I have not had the adverse reaction to the rear tire yet, but I haven't pushed like it sounds you have. What part of the country are you in?

I'm having a few health issues right now and can't ride but I'm dieing to get
out on it again.

I like the Michelin M12 if the ground is on the slick side. Tire works good all around.

I was out on our friggin 6 hour hell ride and tried the metzler and was quite disappointed , even with 6lbs in the rear it does not like to climb.I snapped a peg off and bent the crap out of the mounts and still found it way easier climbing with my ten master trelle. But on a side note I really like the new 300 six days the fit and finish is quite nice even compared to last years bikes. It's pretty cool to see improvements being continous from one year to the next, a mark of a serious company if you ask me!

Its a decent rock tire (if its not too wet) at low pressures, worth leaving on for break in considering it will get trashed in a couple rides anyway.

Ya that's exactly what he's doing for the next ride, it's very wet and muddy here right now with snow at certain elevations, I'm sure it would react differently in dry rock, my other buddy was just in Moab with his new 250 six days and had no complaints with the metzler which surprised me after I tried it last weekend so that would be on point with what your saying.
