Question replacement footpegs

I'm just wondering what after-market footpegs people run on their Gassers, seems that I have a nasty habbit of mangling the standard ones, I need something strong and wide, also not many have a listing for a gasser so what are the the same as is it yamaha or something?
thanks guys.

I'm still running stock, but have considered the Fastways. You have to grind the back inner corner on the right one so it doesn't hit the brake pedal when it folds up.

Yes, the Yamaha pegs fit.

Default Foot Pegs

If you are spending the $$$$ you may consider the pivot pegs I have not used them but from what I am hearing about them I will be acquiring a set as soon as the budget allows. Even if you do not like them I would be willing to purchase them from you if you do not like them.

Have a good one and good luck.

I crumple the stock pegs quickly.

I have the IMS pegs on my '06 EC300 and the Fastway pegs on my '01 XC300.

Both are very stout pegs and have held up for many hours of abuse.

The Fastway would not fold up very far on my '06 EC300 so they stayed on my '01 XC300. The IMS pegs fold up much further.

I have the fastways on my '07, mounted low to get a little extra room. I did not have to do any grinding. if you go that way, get the new pins, I think they are the F6 or something like that, they last several times longer than the previous designs.

if I had known that the pivot pegs could also be mounted low, i would have bought them instead just to try them (why don't they advertise this feature? it's a mystery).

The stock pegs on my '05 lasted about 1/2 a day of rock riding. They were replaced with Fastway pegs, which is what I finally ended up with on my 2000 EC300. I wasted 2 pair of Ti pegs that were given to me. They just don't hold up. I like that the Fastway pegs are not too sharp and are adjustable in height and set screw length.

A thing to consider with the Fastways , especially with the older bikes, is that they are wider and therefore the foward edge is closer to the shifter. On my '03 it bothered me to the point of mounting them lowboy to regain clearance, even though the height was OK. You can also fine tune height with different length M5 setscrews. The Fastways are very strong and if they take a solid hit from a rock the mount is likely coming off the frame before the peg breaks. Now I just run stock pegs on my '07. I know they will bend before wrecking the mount, plus I'm not that hard on pegs. I ride rocks all the time and my style is to stay high, out of the "Vs", to keep my feet and bike healthy.

I have "Rockstomper" pegs on my 06 and they are awesome, make you feel very stable whilst standing.
