Shite, sorry mate only just checked this thread, 40mins after I re-assembled the shock! I obviously didn't measure the piston band sorry.
I wouldn't worry about changing it though, it seems pretty slick to me, during the hand bleed procedure it will easily slide itself down into the shock body under its own weight. It is a step cut style with an o-ring behind it, not much help though sorry.

I think that's only on the upper spec shock that comes on the factory editions. No sign of any tricky stuff like that in mine.

No probs, sounds like it's not needed, I think they all have the thermostat, it's a listed part, it sits in the shaft. Cheers!

So it does. I'll be pulling it back down tonight though, forgot to re-valve the comp which is the whole reason I pulled it down to start with! So I'll take photos and measurements while I'm in there again.
