Default Calming down the EC300

Has anyone ever used or use the G2 cam system in on their 300`s? I live in the PNW and out trails are really slick and snotty in the winter. I am looking to calm the hit down without having to use a fly wheel weight, head mod etc.

Marc

Thanks for that, but I am looking for something a little simpler. I had that with my KTM and was always messing with it. I am thinking the cam system is what I am looking for.

I have used one in the past. Definitely makes the beginning of the Throttle progressive. I have found that I would eventually return to the sock cam. For me I find I tend modulate traction though gear selection and clutch. I tend not to have issues with throttle control. So I would say good product for the right person. For me I'm actually looking at their quick turn model so I do not have to change my wrist position so much. I have noticed that I prefer the shorter pull of my KTM that has a 36mm carb vs the 38mm on the GasGas.

Now for a second answer. If you are looking for very precise control below where the power valve opens the G2 will work really good for this. Where I now live there is enough rock that it never really gets that slick. When I think slick like this, I thing wet hard clay like one would fine in a river bottom in IOWA - Grease

Just recenty I added a 1mm shim to the power valve and it seems to have helped make it smoother

I am looking for a 4T type roll on. The trails here in the winter are filled with off camber roots and rocks that are really slick. I find myself taking tree samples more than I like

How are you shimming the PV?

Yep! But there is a big difference in price, between the Rekluse and G2. Most everyone here run the Rekluse now. My buddy just brought out his new Beta 300 yesterday with a Rekluse 3.0. He loved it.
