Are pegs designed to break?
Last weekend I hit a stump so hard I broke the peg with my foot. My foot is in ok shape but it makes wonder if I really want bombproof pegs? If the peg didn?t break, how much worse would it have been? Are pegs designed to break in cases like this? Thoughts?

Yes.
You wouldn't want the frame to break. |

Many of them are made of thinner metal that bend easily. Which would explain why my son broke the mount off the frame when his Fastway stainless steel peg did not yield during a crash. Oh well that is why we have welders.
