Ive only destroked cranks, but for racing racing class reasons. Square stroke to bore is best on a 2 stroke for a given cc but more is easy increase. A spacer above and below are often required but you have to look holistically.
My CPI barrel and matching crank on my RZ350 adds 7mm stroke but was designed to have right port timing so extreme example.

I have looked at the big bore option, but I am installing a gasgas into a trx250r (Roll Design) chassis and am looking for added torque, and a stroker, in my opinion is the best way to go.
from my research, eric gorr, is probably who i need to speak with, thoughts? |
