Default Which Pipe for GG EC 300 09

Hello guys,

Yesterday I destroyed my stock pipe in a tough rocky trail which is where we usually ride. My first thought was to replace it with a new OEM. Then I thought to try FMF Gnarly and Q Stealth. In the FMF web site says that their pipes and silencers are stronger than the stock ones.
Is that true?
Also I found the part numbers of FMF Gnarly and Q Stealth but they refer to 07 – 08 models. Will they fit to 09 models and how they will affect the power of the EC 300?

Thanks
Simos

As someone who is not a fan of the power characteristics of either the 300 or gnarly/fatty pipes in general I have to admit that the two together in conjuntion with the rb head mod produced I.M.O. the most effective results allowing me to ride a gear or two taller thereby exploiting the three hun's strong point, massive torque, without having to go to the effort of tearing into the engine for more suitable gains with the added benifit of the pipe tucking nicely for the type of bashing I crave .

Stock pipe is very good and quite stout for an OEM but very expensive. The Gnarly may be a bit thicker, will be less expensive and the new model will fit the 09 bikes also. It's a copy of the Messico in Gnarly thickness. The Stealth is SUPER quiet and I wouldn't be surprised if it smooths the power out some with it's longer body. It's a very nice piece but heavier than stock. Small price to pay for the quiet IMO.

Yes the stock is well over $300. the FMF is a reasonable $260 shipped to my door.
