Yes the sight glass on the clutch cover will show you, but you need to give it some time for the oil to flow into the window and you may need to tip it to the right to get out air bubbles if the oil is not warm.

but beware, the sight glass can often look full on some models. think the design traps oil, but 900mm is right

The sight glass is to monitor oil quality, not quantity.
I've been using a full quart of oil in all my GasGas'.

FYI when the bike is delivered from the factory it comes with about 150ml of oil in it. the dealer will drain this and fill it as part of the put-together process.
When i got my 2010 i got it from the wholesaler in the crate, he included a litre and told me there was usually very little oil in it from the factory. I put the bike together, looked at the sight glass and could see oil so went and ran it in. It did make some funny noises lol

I replaced the oil and was wondering where the rest of the oil was (oops!) anyway the clutch and gearbox was still perfect when i sold it with about 400hrs of hard enduro type riding

Re: access, lean your bike over onto a work bench (or against a wall) so that it is resting on the end of the handlebar.

Put a funnel in the oil filler opening, and pour away. Because your bike is leaning at an angle, the funnel is almost vertical or "straight up".

Works good for me!
