Just grab ahold of it and bend it away from the cover. Its really not a big deal.

How about the shifter from a TM?? they look like the gas gas shifter. looks like the right spline and all.. I'll be up to My buddys shop saturday to drop something off. He has a new TM shifter in stock hanging on his wall. Its for the new 2 stroke TM's. If anybody wants I can pull the shifters from my 97 and the 03 GG 250 that I have in the garage at the moment to take a comparison picture.. length, bend and spline.. and get a price too.. I think the shifter is steel of some kind? It felt heavier than alum when I pulled it off the rack the other day.

That sounds like a plan Steve. I would buy a steel shifter that fit and lasted. I thought everything on a TM was machined billet though.

That "mystery shifter" is almost certainly for/from a '97/'98 EC250.

I had to look up and see what a TM is. I had no idea there was as many exotics as there are.

could be - i mighta stole it from my 99. can't remember. i have another 2 broken ones i should get pics of. you never know what the previous owner put on it... i thought they all had part numbers...
