For some reason it says that, but they have them in stock.

BTW. You will need a 6mm Allen wrench cut to 1" long to tighten the pinch bolt. Insert the 1" long allen wrench into the bolt and use a 6mm box wrench to tighten it.

Thanks for the tips. I'll give them or GF a call.

I got the +5 from GF for my '07 and its fine. 5mm more is nothing. This is a very nice shifter, I forgot how stout they were as its been awhile since I put one on the 125. WTF were they thinking with that bolt though? I put it on with a stub cut from a hex key but will probably make up(grind) a couple custom 8mm head bolts.

+1 on that thought and solution, I put a bolt in myself but I still have issues keeping it tight, I can ride for 3 minutes and the shifter will have play.

I also have problems with that . I tighten the heck out of the pinch bolt to the point I am worried its going to pull the treads out and it still comes loose.

Make up a bolt and use a lock nut on the bottom. I have not ridden mine yet so I can't say if I have the problem as well. If I had to guess, I'd say that the design is very rigid, and the clamp bolt is closer to the center of the shaft. This means that there is less elasticity in the clamp and any loosening of the bolt will mean a greater loosening of the clamp on the shaft.

Same thing happens to very heavy spokes, they can't stretch and maintain static torque so they loosen faster. Also why motor mount bolts are thinner in the center cross section.

The effective length is changed by getting different tips.

I went with a +15 tip. Perfect for my size 10 boots on the '11 bike.
I'm trying to determine what length tip to get. The stocker is too short for my size 12 Sidi's. Hammer's chart says +10 tip for size 12. You have me wondering if I should go with the +15.

I ordered mine from Gofaster. I told them my boot size and they took all the guess work out. I might add they got it right. Great fit!

15mm is like 1/2 inch, right? that stocker is so short, I think 15mm would be fine. Especially if you added some aftermarket pegs that run 57mm.

Like Girard said the newer bikes have the pegs more foward so the same shifter/tip will seem shorter on an '11 than on an '07. I would put a +10 or +15 on a new bike. The Hammerhead table does not reflect this. Smiths has +15s in stock. I like doing business there but +15 is too long for an '07 with my size 9s.
