Default Fuel Tank HOLE Gas Gas EC 250(300) 1999 HELP

hi guys ,

so went for a ride on sunday and fall down with left side of the bike. today when i fill the tank in the end gasoline start dropping for the screw hole. the screw wasnt there so with the drope make a hole on fuel tank.

do you think is possible to put some epoxy glue ? and after a new screw...

my doubt is if gona seal good because of gasoline

what you think?

You can buy some repair paste/filler/adhesive specifically for fuel tanks. In the UK one option is "Petro Patch". I have used it successfully on metal fuel tanks.

I would not be too confident about replacing a screw in the same place though... Maybe build up plenty of repair paste and use a shorter screw?

yes , i buy epoxy glute that is resistant to gasoline. lets see if it works

You need something that will stick to the tank plastic. I would also rough it up a bit with Dremel tool or knife to give the glue a better chance of sticking.

There is one on ebay for $90.

ok thanks. i let it dry and put some fuel on the tank and dont come out. i think epoxy glute covered the hole.

tomorrow go for a little ride to make the final test.
