Well I'm rebuilding my 07.

Crankcase got very ovalisided mounting hole from a wayward swingarm bolt and vibration got worse and worse. Several bearings were poked. A sharp rider of my elevated skill can pick this sort of thing straight away.

I must have been tired last few rides. Bit embarrassing.

Well the cases are back together with sleeve in rear mount hole.

Bit by bit as I get time. SW bearings linkage as required so ready to slot back in. Dammit just remembered steering needs a bearing too.

Get distracted by riding roadbike or my GasGas TXT250. That's a blast.

Glad to hear it is getting back together! They don't wear out if you put them in the corner and look at them, but that is NO FUN!

Yeah, trials bikes are a whole different kind of fun. I really need to get me one.

Of course this forum is dead. Passion for a brand of motorcycle is built around that brand and our vison of that brand is dead. Some of that loyalty is passed on to the new "GasGas" brand but most was squandered by the incompetent government officials and GasGas managers who took control of the company more than a decade ago. The bikes coming off the Reiju line today do not have the GasGas name, are not made in the GasGas factory, and are not made by GasGas workers. They may be mostly the same bike as my 2018 gasser but so what. It is good that I can get new parts for my bike but if and when I ever replace my current gasser I will probably spend my money elsewhere. I've owned nothing but gassers for 22 years and loved them all but if Pontiac (a car company I love) came back today with the same cars they sold 12 years ago selling at todays prices I wouldn't buy one. Funny how they shut their doors about the same time GasGas started it's nose dive.

That's a rather harsh and negative viewpoint but to each their own. I don't understand that thought process but more power to ya!

Lots of guys are still in to the old Maicos, Swedish Husqvarnas, and other older and long gone brands. Sort of like the cult following for Kawasaki KDX's which I'm also part of. Those of us that love them will keep on loving them regardless of whether they are still in business, under a different name, or whether or not they're still being made. That said, you do you!

This forum is dead because most forums are dead. A few continue to thrive, but not like they used to. Social media pages like Facebook have taken a lot of the attention away from forums. I?ve owned my Rieju for almost a year. Found this forum when I googled for some info. I?ve never actually been in this general discussion area until today?

I asked mark berg how things were going a while back in a personal e-mail. i recall him talking about how things were slowed by the pandemic with it's related shutdowns.

One good thing is that the dollar is become very strong relative to the euro - at parity. Costs less to import goods to u.s. from europe. See the attached image - the dollar is higher than it's ever been relative to the euro.

It's interesting how the pandemic has affected some countries differently. Down here sales went up with the pandemic, possibly a result of people rethinking priorities and also having additional time as a result of companies being forced to test work-from-home systems

I'm a forum guy. When info and knowledge is posted on things like facebook it is easily lost and about impossible to find again. Forums still rule as a repository of knowledge, the quirks, fixes, parts sources, etc. for anything. Plus, I despise facebook so there is that!
