... 'cuz the government was doing sooooo much to provide you a good riding experience. If the Senate would get its collective head out of its A@@ and pass a budget you may have funding for the use of the land that you, as a citizen, already own. Maybe ...

This just in - they will be paying all of the federal employees who aren't working for not working when they finally get back to working Sounds like a paid vacation to me

If you work and make your own way, you are out-numbered, and out-voted. No hunting, fishing, swimming, "looking", or dirt-biking. AM radio will keep you up to speed. Keep your powder dry. It is almost "shooting time". Is your "bug-out" pack ready?

have a go at living in the UK..... if you ride motorcross then its not that bad but if you want to ride through woodland etc you have no choice but to ride illegally, even our legal byway's are being closed so people can walk down them

Look on the bright side, at least you don't have swarms of heavily armed SWAT teams stopping you for walking funny and such. Heck, if you're Asian and drive a blue Toyota truck they'll even shoot you up for no reason.

Our riding area in Missouri they closed the campground but the Forest Service could have cared less we were riding. Likely something to do with Missouri and their penchant for common sense. Anyway it's hunting season here. You just try to close off the woods, might be an issue.

That is what I said, but apparently the Game Wardens were out there. The gates were closed.

What a bunch of crap with the closure. The Rangers are never there anyway. They may show up for 10 mins then leave. Why do we need them to ride?

I know why the Govt is shut down. I'm an interested observer of our politics. Just think it is BS that they close the NF to riding. It is not like there is a booth with a Ranger in it taking your money......it is just empty woods, every day....

one small part of ours closed.. this is a huge place here.. there have been rumors of another, but there are no gates there at all.. you could block the main road in, but there are 10 different trails in there and it would take a fence about a mile long and across the Canadian river..

it seems like we the people who enjoy national parks are being punished like a teenager... grounded... taking away their fun like taking away your kids cel phone and grounding them.. don't go along with our spending, we will cut off your access to your parks, fun, whatever..

not just riding, but all parks.. it is just not right and needs to change..
