Default 2018 new battery

Battery in my 18 300 is weak and won?t take a charger off the trickle charger. I?ve been off work and I?m short on funds right now. Can anybody say anything good about the tusk lithium ion batteries? If not I?ll wait a few weeks and buy a antigravity. I know the 8 cell fits my bike. Do the new karma crossover to our bikes for the sake of ordering off Rocky Mountain? They don?t have gasgas in their search.

Wait for the Antigravity.
I have had zero starting issues since I installed mine.
Have not even charged it since installed, 6 months ago.

Ok. I?ll wait. My right hip doesn?t do the best but we aren?t riding now anyways because of the weather. The 8 cell is what I need correct?

I think I fixed my 2018 starter by installing a more powerful 240 CCA battery yesterday. I bought the Antigravity ATZ7-8 Lithium battery that Gasgas recommends to fix the starting problems for the 2018 and 2019 250 and 300s.

Yes that is the 8 cell battery. It only takes 4 cells connected in series to provide the 13.6 volts you see out of these batteries so I believe they must have connected half of these cells in parallel to provide twice the cranking current and battery energy storage capacity. Seems to be a good idea.

It looks like the only ATZ-7 offered on the Antigravity website is 150 CA. Is the 240 CA model an older model? Does the 150 CA with restart work just as well? Just curious what is working for you guys as I will need to replace my battery in the coming months.

http://www.hardracing.com/BallisticL...eBatteries.htm

I'm using the 8cell battery in my 2011. The link shows them listed as 275 CA, so I'd say don't go lower than 240 CA.

Googling turns up info that Ballistic is out of business.
