do you have a real ec or the de?? A real ec would not need a fww. I'm guessing you have a de or maybe an xc. I have an 06 de with a 12 oz fww. hmmm maybe 10 oz can't remember. steahly makes fww ... also check out go fasters for'em, they will set you up with what ever you need.

I put one on my EC300. You can't get much on without modifying it because there isn't room in the cover. If you space the cover out you would need a different gear lever. To be honest I couldn't tell the difference with the small weight that would fit.

My 03 de 250 had one on it when i bought it. I rode it for a year with it on and when I took it off, it sure did wake the bike up. More wheel spin, but quicker revs. The only way its going back on is if it is a nasty wet mud race. I hindsight, if I didn't have it on during last year's Peace Pipe Enduro I wouldn't have finished. It was brutal.

I just had a 10-oz. put on my '07 300EC. I like smooooth power. fits fine, works great, smoother power & no stalling under hard braking in corners, no regrets.

What ignition do you have 2K2 or 2K3 and what needle are you using? My 07 EC300 came with the 2K3 ignition.

Just an FYI to others. The 2k3 flywheel is only 1 1/4oz heavier than the 2K2 (DE ignition) although it carries it's mass different which does seem to translate to snappier power delivery. There is a misconception that the 2K3 has this much heavier flywheel and it doesn't. Much higher light and accessory output though.

Skidad,

sorry I have no clue a/t either question. I swapped for the bike after it had been raced by the shop manager, so it was already all set up. I have a 3 year-old who wants to "help" with everything I do, so I did not even try to install the weight myself, the shop installed it for $5....

it's a nice change, I really like it.
