I would hate to miss the beginning of the season due to lack of a bike or due to doctors' orders.

I'd rather work it than race it.

The Brutality Quotient (Bq) is too high.

No doubt and we have that race twice this coming season!

I think I'm going to find some .40 springs for the forks. I'm currently running that spec on my KDX with 47mm Showa forks and it's a heavy bike like the GG. Funny thing, I checked the sag last night on the GG and somehow it was within specs for me. I don't understand this considering it has a 5.4 on the rear and I should need like a 4.6. Numbers were...

Free sag - 623mm
Static - 37mm
Race - 106mm

Any ideas on this?

Don't let that fool ya. You can get the same sag values with a lighter spring (but different preload).
