Default 2001 plastics on a 2000?

Hi there have just bought my first gasgas after years of 4 strokes have changed to a 2000 ec 200,needs a bit of tidying up i like the 2001 plastics with the square holes rather than the earlier rounded holes plus cant get hold of the earlier ones! will they fit and if not what modifications would be needed, many thanks this site has proved very helpfull to me!

Should work no prob. My 2000 had '01 plastics on it when I bought it, now it has '02. Just unbolt one set, bolt the other on.

Could be the 2002 model the square holes not the rounder ones?will all fit side panels etc

Call GoFasters, they should have the 2001 radiator shrouds.
I would go with the '05 number plates, they will fit with some minor grinding at the rear fender.
The '05 number plates give the bike a very modern look.

Thanks for replys i am in the uk so 2002-on plastics are available(polisport) so if i was to buy a full set of 2002 plasticsthey should fit ok 05 side panels with some mods are the fastener holes in same place then?

The newer side # plates won't work. I think '01 was when they changed to the side access air filter box. The '00 used a one piece plate on both sides. I think a kx # plate is pretty close (I think that's what I've got).

i'VE GOT AN EC250 2001, JUST PUT ON THE 2003 PLASTICS FIT OK,NICER
THAN THE 2001 PLASTICS

Thanks for replys going to buy some and try just wanted to know if anyone has tried them before i buy,my 2000 plastics have 2 mounting holes in the tank are they the same on the later ec's.

hey guys... what does it take to fit a 2003 side panels on the 2000 EC250?.... should i change the mod the airbox.. ..or simply change the subframe.....? any of u guys have experience in this......

all replys would be appreciated....

I have just bought a whole air box unit on ebay hope it will fit the bike therefore will be able to fit newer side panels only problem is its from a fse 400 but looks similar!!
