03 frame

my ec 300 frame what it is it coated in.
is it chrome plated. thinking of getting it cleaned up as the rust is coming out

Should be nickel plated frame.

How rusty is it? If it's not super rusty try 0000 steel wool with some chrome polish to clean it up.

Nickel plated, but they are thin in spots. If its a keeper, powder coat is the way to go.

There is some on the bars under the engine and around the pegs
Even tho she is ten now I can thought the bike and am not in any hurry to sell, I just had my cr frame powder coated, looks good.
Wonder what colour would suit it
