Yup, gotcha. Just wasn't aware of the change.

Bad news from Halls
There is no starter ring gear in north america, and on backorder from GG so nothing in spain either from what he could see.
My search for a 2014 part out continues!

I don't see anything on ebay, or the usual forums... so if anyone has any suggestions where I might find part-out ads in europe or something? I'd sure hate to have to wait and see if/when the factory starts distributing parts again.
I think the flywheel / ring gear changed within the last few years so it wouldn't cross with older parts.

I rotated the ring 1/3 turn and it's working good, thanks for your suggestion. I'm going to try and resist using the button but it's there!

Good luck with everything (especially resisting that sweet, sweet, addictive button!).

Haha, it's hard to resist for sure. Spent yesterday on the local & nasty singletrack. I used the button a dozen times or so, it worked perfect.

I got another email back from a very friendly and helpful dude at motocrosscenter. He cannot locate a new ring gear on his side of the ocean, and cannot source one from GG. Sounds like he did alot of work trying for me. Sure hope something positive happens at the GG factory soon!

Boom! Thanks Dave.

Last new 2014 ring gear in existence?

I seem to be cursed with starting my bike lately.
Last week, my bendix started failing again, and took out a few teeth on my new ring gear, and yesterday I snapped another kick start shaft.
I have the shaft out, and at a local welding shop. He figures he can zip it up with some unichrome. Have to order a couple more smu5009s and hope my two damaged ring gears can carry me through the season. Frustrating issues with an otherwise awesome bike.
