Default radiator braces ec250/300

do ec250 and ec300 have the same radiator mounting and/or are they the same radiators. i would like to purchase crd radiator braces, but they seem to only have a listing for a 250 on the website. thanks

The 250 and 300 share the same radiators. I have the CRD braces on my '05 and they are great.

Be careful using CRD rad protectors if you have the 2007 model bike or newer. The bike's frame is different and the right hand side CRD brace will not fit because the ignition coil has been relocated.

Also, the newer radiators are smaller than the older ones.

For the new bikes, I recommend the Mecasystem ones. Real real nice . made in france. Look here:

No.

Plenty of clearance there. The CRD guards are a superb piece of kit. Very sturdy and well braced to the frame spars. Only problem is they haven't updated them to fit the bikes from 07 on.

The Mecca System stuff looks very good. If I were to get a new bike now I'd probably go that way and add a grill for front protection.

FYI, the 250 and 300 are exactly the same except for the cyl, head, piston, and CDI.

Good evening 4 everybody. I just bought an ec300 ´08 & adapted the Crd braces, not much trouble than bending a bit right plate & cut plastics. I chose these because of they are 3 fixing points instead of 2.

Greetings from Spain.

I have Meca Systems stuff on my '08 Husqvarna txc510. Skid Plate, Rad Braces and an exhaust shield that protects your pants from burning at the junction between the header and tail-pipe. It is all extremely high quality and I must say is just a little more robust and nicer than CRD stuff.

I got mine from Nick at cycle pro 775 in Nevada - he is a sponsor here. He is set up with them as a dealer and is a great guy deal with. www.cyclepro775.com

thanks guys. i installed the meca braces today. went ok except go fasters sent me braces for 07-09. had to grind left side inner to fit near engine mount bolt. on meca websight looks like older braces have an extra tab to mount to frame or engine mount. seems more secure in a crash that way. i may try to adapt to engine mount, since i cant send them back for the correct part. mine is 05. i may also buy grills for front. i did this on my wr426 in conjunction with my braces. thanks GMP for the info.
