OKO PWK carbs... who are they?
Hi all
Whilst looking around the internet at the Keihin PWK 38mm carbs, I keep coming across a company/brand called OKO who also sell a 38mm PWK carb. I've seen them advertised as 'replicas'. Does anyone know anything about this company? Are they manufacturing and selling copies of the Keihin carbs? Is the OKO PWK 38 any good? All the best, Dave. |

Hi Harry, thanks for the links.
Have you ever used one? Regards, Dave. |

Makes me laugh. There are some counterfeit versions of the OKO so you are warned that you get genuine ones. Rip offs of the rip off. Haha.
Lots get used here for small cc racing as can get smaller sizes. I always veered away and used pwk28s (and 35s on my 500). But I've had to work on a few and they were variable quality. I'd spend the extra and get a Keihin. Some people get lucky and some struggle with issues particularly float needle sticking. Tedious.

I just put one on my montesa cota..replaced the delorto.. it was a seamless change and the bike runs great.. no long term data tho.
the guy that told me about them also said to watch out for the knock off ones...which the oko is a knock off...which I thought was kinda funny...

It would have to be a pretty nasty Chinese copy to be worse than a dellorto to be fair.

I know... and mine was an early dellorto with an air bleed valve under the pilot jet that was crossthreaded and stuck in the carb... I rode it at an event last weekend... which was way harder than anything I have ever done on 2 wheels... it ran and started perfect .. one kick every time. there was a guy there on a gasser trials with a dellorto and he kicked his brains out... my only complaint is it puts choke knob under fuel hose... working on a plan for that

Cable tie pull for the choke. Actually I had to do that std on my GG TXT200 just to operate the std choke. On Dellorto.
To be fair I got it running fairly well but next step would have been a Japanese carb and word was a major improvement.

i had a cable tie on the dellorto... this oko uses a kehin choke knob just like the pwk type that pulls straight up.. the fuel valve is right beside it. so the hose is right on top of the knob... either needs a longer hose or one with a 90 degree or file down one side of the knob... it is close..

Keihin is the best solution. I bought a PWK AS II for $190 with free shipping. Easy to setup bike starts on first kick.
