Testing electrics without engine running
Does anybody do this? I would like to power up the electrics on my 2013 EC250 without running the engine. Is it possible to hook up at 12v supply somewhere without frying any components?

Can this be done for testing purposes...? Maybe remove the wire from the AC regulator near the coil and connect to a battery?

Yep easily done, disconnect the stator and the regulator and connect 12v dc to the yellow wire. I always do it this way as it is quieter for testing. I would fuse it for wiring protection.
