PV vent hose......... Help
I've been having some issues with my 06 ec250 so I decided to tear it down and put a new top end in it. While taking the bike apart I noticed the vent in the right side PV was loose. I took it out and cleaned it. and went to put it back in and it appears to be stripped. It won't screw tight. It gets a little tight and then it comes loose as I tighten. Has anyone had this happen before? What can I do to fix it? Tap it out bigger. Then find a bigger vent bolt?
BTW I was having a problem with a knock at low RPM's could this have been the problem.? |

Thats just a vent through the M6 threaded fitting, so a good clean up with contact cleaner and JB Weld to fix the threads will be fine. Not related to your knocking, IMO.

Thanks Glenn,
That sounds simple enough. I tend to complicate things in my head. So it should not be a problem that the threaded piece will not be able to come out of the PV anymore after I JB weld it? |
