Default Dual Map on a 2001 EC250

Was reading about the dual ignition map (sunny/rainy) and the available switch. Does my 2001 EC 250 have this capability?

Thanks,

Matt

No it came via a different CDI. So you would need to fit the later CDI and switch.

I'm sure the latest would work in a literal sense of the ignition map. The question is will it fit and match the wiring connectors I think a couple of people have done the mod and hopefully they'll notice this thread. If you can find someone or a dealer with a later bike maybe you could compare. I think the dual map came in in 2006 but double check that.

Most 2005 bikes had the dual map but not the switch fitted - all 06 bikes should have the dual map and switch.

I think you can check 05 bikes/CDI as the leads for the switch are present.
