Fuel Tank Separated

Was out for a ride yesterday and was getting a strong smell of fuel. Got home and took the seat off and noticed that the rubber strap that holds the tank down was broken. Took the tank off and it seems to be separated at the rear where the clear part joins the black part. Does anyone know if these two peices come apart? Is there any way to fix this?

If you can see where its leaking ,and its not too big , you can use a radiator repair (dont know the name , but it comes in a roll about 4 inches long. You break off a piece and work it like clay until it softens up ,and then stuff it in the hole .

I used it on mine when I accidently drilled a hole in it. Its been working for about two years now.

My 2010 did the same thing at about 10 hours, except my tank is all translucent. Supposed a better designed over the old one, but evidently a potential issue. GoFasters sent me a new tank under warranty.
