Default Chainsaw mount?

Does anyone have any experience with mounting a saw to your bike. I've tried just carring one in a backpack and it works, but it is a pain in the arse to get the saw out all the time for a qick little job. Built this the other night, what do you think?

I kind of got the idea from this fellow, forkrack.com. Read his FAQ on his website, absolutely hilarious. If getting stuff shipped across the line wasn't like getting a death grip on your ankles while UPS had their way with ya, I probably would just ordered one from this fellow. Materials didn't cost me anything, I had them already but I probably have 3-4hrs in time invested. I'm pretty happy with the end product.

As far as selling them, na, If anyone wants the dimensions, PM me and I'll send them to ya for free. I don't think anyone's gonna retire on a chainsaw mount but its a nice thought? Thanks for the compliment though. Appreciated

What gauge steel is that? Does it bounce much when you ride? I guess I was just wondering if the "L" flexed much with a chainsaw on it. Looks sweet though! I've been thinking about making one for my old XR250.

I have seen a picture somewhere of a machete attached to the rear silencer.

i run my machete across the bars. i use old inner tube to hold it still. i only have to stretch the tube at the handle end and it pulls right out. i don't have a scabbard/holster for my machete, i fashioned one out of cardboard. pretty barbarian, but it works. and the whole setup goes on and off in under a minute.

Looks nice. I built something similar but I bolted directly to the triple clamps. Add a bungy cord to keep the saw in place and you will be all set. It is fast and easy to get the saw out and back. I also added a carrier to the other side for a loppers.
