Mine is broke,, wires sheered off.. but if memory serves me, I used the brake switch for the rear brake off a ktm. Threads into the master in place of the banjo. bleed the brakes then hook up the wires your all set.. The front ktm one cost twice the one for the rear and they are basically the same. The pigtail(wires) are like 1-2 inches longer on the front switch but instead of twenty bucks its forty something.. no clue what it be in pounds.. The rear was a bit different I think, or it was on my 97 then I swapped out a rear master from a wr250 husky for a bit better stopping power. I have a rear brake set up from a 03 KTM 250sx I may be putting on. The one with the built in res. streamlining...

Default thanks

hey steve

thanks for the reply if you look at my thread you'll see that I had some new brake lines made up like the original GG ones only a better make.

On the lines the banjo is only on the caliper and the master cylinder end is like a threaded end, the new goodridge ones are the same should i have got a banjo on the new one at the master cylinder end and used a same thread brake switch instead??

as far as I am aware it is a tiny little switch that screws into the M/C near the lever it's contantly pressed until you pull the lever and then activates the light (like a reverse switch) I could be wrong but this is what I think it is.

If you can find one of those micro switches.. Never was able. Don't really exist it seamed when I was looking. The 97 GG had them and some 98's.. after that GG's having that switch is iffy.. Most had the KTM type. I had the banjo type after I had the bike the first week or so.. couldnt take the stock mushy feel and went hi-end steel braided brake line for a better feel and fit. I think it was for a KTM bike or Honda CR or something.. But shortly after that I went husky cr250 front master and caliper as they were a better feel.. Master was rated better(different piston size I think) and the caliper seamed to have better action, fit and finish. I'm remembering as I go.. I did this mod back in 1999-2000 sometime..

Try Pro Racing They've been doing lighting kits for years, so might still have some of those micro switches in stock. I think euro spec honda xrs used to have those switches on the front brake m/c, but they would have been nissin, so doubtful they would interchange. Would hydraulic banjo bolt switches work from the caliper end ? Would be prone to damage though.

Thanks for the link, I might call the fella who made up the goodridge's for me and ask him to take off the crimped screw end and add a banjo bolt and see whether a hydraulic switch will screw into the M/C

Is this what you are looking for?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Moped-Brake-...06%26rk%3D1%26

I picked up a couple of these switches a few years ago, but, I can not
remember where I got them. Saw this on E-bay and thought of your post.

Let me know if you still need on of these. I will look up a couple of scooter
supply sites and post links.
Jeff

Update: You might try these folks.
