Default Internet Explorer 7 issue

Jeff,

I have recently upgraded to Internet Explorer 7. On this new version, the back/forward buttons are tied to the URL entry window. Since you hid the URL window, the back/forward buttons are also gone. This makes navigation a bit of hassle... either hitting backspace to go back or clicking the higher level folder. I miss not having the back/forward buttons.

I understand why you locked the URL window to prevent direct linking. Is there a way that you can add the back/forward buttons for Explorer 7 users?

Thanks

Yes and my apologies. I noticed the same thing today - just upgraded...

I'll just add the navigation bar in so that it behaves as a standard window. Look for it in the next few days - in the meantime - use the backspace key on the keyboard.

thanks,
jeff

I tried IE7 and it screwed up my computer so much that I had to reformat. Lost many files and my summer vacation pics, it sucks.

What's the idea with the restricted forum window anyway? I prefer to keep all my browser windows as tabs in Firefox. I don't like that others are trying to decide how I use my browser windows.

This has resulted it that I rarely open the gasgasrider.org main site, I just browse in to the forums diectly.

And how does the window restriction prevent direct linking?

Please remove the extra window popping up, and let everyone decide for themselves how to use their browser.

Besides from that tiny little remark, gasgasrider.org is a splendid site.

My apologies. I have tried to open it up - but apparently my web development software is too restrictive. I will make a change so that navigating to the forum won't pop a new window. This will allow easy "direct linking", and better navigation capabilities with IE7 and Firefox too...
