Default 2006 exhaust has a Catalytic converter?

Do the stock gasgas pipes have a Catalytic converter inside?

I think mine has (euro bike). Can I cut the pipe, remove it, TIG weld it back together?
Will it improve torque / HP, do I need a new trim?

Thank you!
