2011 250, 36mm jetting
Just picked up a 2011 sixdays 250, and took it out towards the coast and rode in wet sand all day
Jetting was too lean in the needle, pinging at 2/3 throttle in sand, and spooging/rich idle, felt ok up top, I checked the plug and it was obviously lean, I'm not a fast rider and tend to ride mostly in the 1/4 to 3/4 throttle range on atv width trails I was running a 42 pilot AS 1.5 turns, NE1F 2nd from leanest clip, and a 175 main. It was pinging so bad I moved the clip to 2nd from richest position, I believe that was a drop of 2 positions, that did help, no more ping and I thought it ran great, but the spooge was pretty bad, the low rpm power was good but not "crisp" for lack of a better term Ordering N3EJ, CCK, NEDW needles and a 40 pilot. I put in a 38 pilot tonight and richened the clip one more to the richest setting, made the needle too rich, but the pilot is still not right, the bike would die if I screwed in the airscrew all the way, but when I backed it out, I was able to back out over 3 turns and no noticeable effect. anyone else running a 250 with 36mm near 250' above sea level? I may lean the slide to a 8, it's got a 7 in it now I know jets bleed across, so if anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears I've used JD kits before, and been happy and disappointed, they list the same kit for the 38 and 36mm carbs, not sure how that's gonna work as they require different jetting, the 36's need leaner than the 38's if I'm not mistaken |

ran the cck and a 40 pilot today, had to run the cck at it's richest setting, I'm going to have to pick up a richer needle for this winter, I like how the bike ran, no spooge, nice and smooth as I ramped up the throttle, and no pinging in the sand
conditions were 75 and 99 % humidity, 250' above sea level |

I would save my money on all those parts and send the carb to RB designs.
It will be better on top end. He will bore it out to 38mm. |

it does not need any more top end for me, more bottom/mid would not hurt though
