REverse Threads
Just to be perfectly clear before I start reefing on stuff. The clutch basket nut is regular thread and nut over the primary gear on the clutch side of the crank is reverse, correct?
Don't worry Dusty, I kinda know what I am doing! |

the basket nut is normal right hand thread. the nut on the end of the crank on the right side is reverse thread (left hand thread)

Thanks. DO you use a penny in the gears or some other method to hold them still? I have used a drift through the crank but I hate to load everything to remove nuts.

most of the time the impact on full blast spins anything off without holding anything...
but i have used a penny occasionally.... i have a vise grip chain wrench i sometimes use if i can get it around something safely.
