Default Lights went out

I recently bought a 2003 EC250 and love it, however when I bought it the head light and tail light worked fine hi and low beam, the brake light did not work. I don't know if it has a brake light to be honest. However after 2 hours of riding the low beam and tail light quit working. Didn't get it wet or anything. The other odd part is the speedo turns off when the hi beams are on, I don't remember it doing that before, but I did not have it very long. It is plated and has current tabs, so I would like to figure this out. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. Also did this bike have a brake light stock from the factory?

The brake light switches are hydraulicly operated, if they are fitted you will be able to tell by the pair of wires coming from the banjo bolts.

The bolts that hold your brake hoses to the caliper/master cylinder. The brake light switches (if fitted) will be holding the hose on at the master cylinder end.
