Default Muffler/Silencer question

Hey Guys,
This may be a silly question, but, what is the best aftermarket silencer for an 07 Ec300 with the std pipe.
Also, I have heard that the std pipe is fairly good so does the aftermarket silencer change anything other than noise?
Cheers Mark

I imagine the one that came stock on your bike has the slight bend in it about mid way? (stock Euro silencer). I would think if you don't want any increase in noise this would be the best one to have. I suppose the best performance may be the stock MX silencer or somethin like this...

or perhaps this from 2Tracing

My used 07 came with a long, straight, straight through GG silencer (no bend). I'm looking to pick up one of those Euro ones if you want to trade. I thought I had one all lined up but it seems it got lost by UPS in transit from Canada.

Yep mine has the bend.Number on the pipe is B12600200.
I will probably get a Dep muffler or similar, but need to wait for some funds.I'll let you know when I get round to doing this.
Cheers for the reply.
Mark.

I use the FMF TC2 silencer with good results. Not a whole lot more noise and more bottom end for sure.

I bought a standard MC250 silencer from the greek gg dealer. Great power and quality with no increase in noise! Actually the first EC250's were imported with the MC silencer as standard!

I bought a used one which was no louder, and made no more power than the stock one with 50hrs on it, so maybe it will be a db or 2 quieter with new packing. But I only bought it for the USF spark arrestor to be able to ride in the US forests. If you are buying a silencer to make power, you are wasting your money. Buy one to be quieter or legal.
