Trailer chock/lift/lock?
Saw a really neat way of holding a dirtbike on a trailer earlier this week. Forgot the name of it but it holds the bike by its footpegs and locks it it upright. Its lockable and needs no further tiedowns. It looks like a lift up stand and is bolted in place on the trailer bed. Anyone any idea what its called?
Thanks |

Its very similar to that one. The one I saw was adjustable in width and had 2 vertical components each side. The footprint was also square and it didnt have extra 'd' rings. Its a start though thanks! Just need to find all the competitive products in that range.

P-loks
I got a chance to use these in the Pirelli semi at the St. Louis SX, they were transporting some bikes from the teams they are the tire supplier for to the Seattle round. Very cool, very easy, and not cheap. Used by many SX and AX teams in their semis.

Hmmm,
I could weld something together for my trailer along these lines - I don't think it would be too difficult - It would also be easy to lock the bike to the trailer but there again the treiler is not locked to the car

Had a reply from the guy I met at Durhamtown using one. The one he has is from:
http://www.standaloneusa.com/ Price tag is a bit high but it looks more robust and versatile than the others |

That is not the one I used at the St. Louis SX. I found a link to the P Lok system I'm referring to. http://www.srtusa.com/products.htm
This one is slightly cheaper, but the advantages is that you can quickly remove the posts when you remove the bike, leaving only the beveled aluminum plate fastened permanently to the trailer floor, keeping the trailer floor open for foot traffic, gear, etc. Also, the uprights take up little space stored in a cabinet or corner of the trailer. The uprights have strong springs in them, with an internal ratchet that locks the bike down to the floor thru the footpegs. Well made, as several pro SX and MX teams are using them.
